HCC PAC endorsed candidate Imelda Padilla wins Special Election for City Council District 6 (winning her race by a margin of 56% to 44%). Padilla replaces former Councilmember and Council President Nury Martinez, who resigned from her position last year. Our PAC not only endorsed the victorious candidate, but the PAC represented walking precincts for her during the campaign—the L.A. City Council voted to install Padilla as a temporary voting Council member until the Special Election results are certified later in the week. CD6 encompasses Arleta, Lake Balboa, North Hills, North Hollywood, Panorama City, Sun Valley, and Van Nuys.
